You raise some good points. I still think Carroll has got the potential to do well, GIVEN he has a fully fit season. Had he not got injured and performed like he did at the back end of the season, we would've scored atleast 15 goals.

His season was broken up and he had to get back to his best. He has also adapted to Big Sam's style. I honestly believe, should he stay, his next season with us would be a lot better. Playing while not knowing what you are going to be doing next season must do a bit of emotional strain, he wouldn't have that if he signed. He can just concentrate on the task at hand.

As for comparing to Lukaku, he had a fantastic season, but how many times have we seen strikers have a good first season and then go down heel? Jelavic comes to mind straight away. I am not saying this is going to be the case with Lukaku, but Carroll is without a doubt premier league quality. The main issue is proneness to injury. That could deal a HUGE blow .

Cheers mate. I will try my best to only include realistic and reliable news into the posts. It is true that we get linked to loads of players every window, even West Ham officials have said that, but I will try and filter out as much of the nonsense as I can.

I am so glad I do not have to buy a crappy kit made by Macron anymore. I think all of them have peeled after a few washes. It also shows that we are on the up as well.
