Cephas, I have to laugh at people like you, if you are so dissatisfied working at this company and feel you are so mistreated why don’t you go find another job with a company that appreciates you. Could it be that you are not qualified to work anywhere else that has this kind of wages and benefits? I am convinced that is you to a T. No matter what you are offered you are not going to be satisfied and want more. Not because you are worth it but because you feel the company owes you. How pathetic.

We have good pay, medical benifets that are better than most, paid vacation, Sick time, retirement, paid learning available, this is to list just a few but we are underpaid and are demanding to not change with the times. How dare thoes managers try and be competive and run the company so it continues to make a profit and continue to be one of the biggest exporters on the west coast if not in the USA, almost forgot, employee all of us. Way to go, I hope you get just what you deserve.

Way to go hobe...another dose of reality. Most of us have been under the Boeing umbrella so long we have lost sight of reality.

Reading slowly, I see where our medical benefits will increase a little with an option for paid coverage. Still would have to pay a co pay and money for prescriptions. I don’t seem to be able to find the 2000 jobs that are going to be outsourced. Could you give me the article or the LOU number so I can go read it? I would suggest looking for a different job if you are in the business of moving parts around the factory. I hope you are not so naive to think you are going to get anything that guarantees job security in the aerospace industry. If that is what you think then I would suggest not waiting for the next layoffs but start looking for another job ASAP.

I wish the sky was always blue and it didnt rain in western washington. But facts are facts, I believe point of use delivery of parts is in the companys best interest. I know I shouldnt care about the company making money but if they dont, I dont either. After all, isnt that why we are all here. As long as the people that are being outsoursed have the chance to move to a different position than I am ok with that. Now if they were just going ot let all thoes people go like so many other companies do, that would be a different story.

I would take upon myself to fix it not sit in the boat as it sinks waiting for others to make up my mind for me.

But you have to pick your fights. I won’t even comment on the analogy you used with the little girl. I hope this fight is worth it to you. I know a lot of people that are on the brink of losing everything they have worked so hard for and will never get back what they have lost may not agree this is a battle to keep fighting. Some times you have to regroup and understand what it is you are fighting for.

777mech, I understand what you are saying. I to take a lot of perscreption drugs also but the generic seems to work good for me. I know everyone is a little different. I cant believe we wouldnt understand that we were going ot have to pay some extra for health care. Look at todays enviroment. Helth care is goin gohrough the roof. I also understand about protecting jobs. But in manufacturing today point of use delivery is the common pratice. Do I agree, well I would love to keep everything in house but I also am a realist and understand that this is not goin got happen. I do know a lot of people that have had their jobs outsourced over the years but they have retrained and the jobs they have now pay more and they like them even better. I know a lot if not all the outsourced employees could be trained to be mechanics considering our backlog and how difficult it is to hire competent workers.

Tough on the ignorant hires. Both new and old. The people that led them down this path of misdirection. Don’t you realize no matter how long you hold out you are never going to break even. I know some of you have saved money in case there was a strike but some of you were not that forward thinking or haven’t been at the company very long. No matter how much you saved will offset what you get in the end. It sure would have been nice for everyone to understand the first offer and what it ment in todays market. Just think of all the extra cash you would have put away to use for something that ment something ot you and your family. You will be very lucky to get a little more than the first contract and the Union leaders will come out and tell you this is the best they could negotiate. So they will go back to collect their full pay. Pay they have collected throgh out the strike. You will continue to blame the company for all your problems and the union leaders will continue to pad their wallets at your expence. I hope you feel you got your moneys worth out of the Union leaders.

I hope this is good news. But this time I hope everyone reads the contract. If you go to your website (751 IAM) there will be a purposed contract. I wish everyone would go read the last one. I still cant find half the crap people are telling everyone that is in the BAFO. I have been with Boeing for many years and the rejected contract looked pretty good. I talked to many people that voted to go on strike just to have some time off work. They didnt even read the offer. Let alone ask any questions. They got caught up in the marching and yelling that they didnt have any idea what was about to happen. Well I hope you are smarter than that this time. If you reply to this please quate the offer and not what you heard from someone else.
