The Terry Pendleton haters will never change their ways. It's Pendleton's fault when things aren't going well, but it's something (anything) else when things are good - the players' natural abilities/talent, weaker opponents, etc.

I'm not convinced the Braves are "damn good" on offense. They're doing well right now, but I think reality is somewhere between April and what we're seeing now. While Troy Glaus did have seven home runs and 22 runs batted in for June, he only hit .255. I assume "raking" refers to the power performance only?

This has to be it. Forget quality starts, this six games or that six games. Look at all of 2009 plus this year. The Kenshin Kawakami experiment failed. Plain and simple.

It's time to get him to the bullpen. Ideally, he'd be out of Atlanta, but the contract Frank Wren gave him makes that virtually impossible.

Chipper didn't spark the rumors; someone who ran their mouth did. That being said, Chipper's performance has been outstanding the past few games.

As soon as Jair Jurrjens can get back with the Braves and let them boot Kenshin Kawakami from the rotation (as far from the rotation as they can), that will help.

It's an absolute shame it came to this. Someone who was in the room or heard Chipper Jones talks with his family runs their mouth to the media. The result? A "firestorm," as Jones called it. Then they wouldn't let it go.

So, finally, he had to say he wasn't going to talk about it until after the season. Now, they're still piling on. Some are claiming he leaked it himself for the attention. That's absurd.

Jones deserved to retire on his terms. Thanks to an anonymous source, that won't happen.
