When I swore my oath of allegiance to the Constitution when I became an officer in the US Army, my pledge was to protect and uphold the Constitution, not the legislators or the courts. During my 8 years of active duty I was required to obey the Commander and Chief. Upon exiting from the Army, my obligation to the president was severed, but my allegiance to the Constitution remained in force. The deviations of the legislated law from the foundational documents are extra-constitutional and are therefore invalid. I am honor bound to uphold the Constitution and those laws that conform to it and must have the courage to stand against those that are clearly contrary to the clear intend of our forefathers. Many of you will say that I do not have that choice, but I will say to you that I do not have a choice, I must conform to the Constitution. I am fully aware of what I am saying and I am willing to go to prison or die for what I believe. Go ahead and castigate me if you must, but it will make no difference. I have every intent of standing before my Maker at the last day having kept my word and having a clean conscience.
