the baseband 6.15 was from apple's ipad's firmware. which was injected to 3g/3gs iphones to unlock using an knows exploit. Dev team can't change the value like 6.18.xx or anything. .

To all the peoples above who are getting error while restoring "iPhone could not be restored because this device is not eligible for the requested build"
The real fact here is Apple has closed signing of 4.1. :(
if you have saved your SHSH at 4.1 then use TU and start TSS they try to restoe.
Else, you need to first upgrade to 4.2.1 and then use redsnow to upgrade ur baseband to 6.15 and then unlock.

I had the same exact problem with my 3gs. The problem with my was, iTunes. I had 9.2. I upgraded to 10.1 (Latest) and worked like charm.
So, this may the cause in your case. Upgrade to iTunes 10.1 if not already done.

That's because, apple stopped signing 4.0.1 long back. Anyway, what is the current firmware version you are on? do you jailbreak/unlock? Answers to these questions would be easier to help you with..

You should read the log when you click on "Save My SHSH". It clearly tells you that its too late to save SHSH for the versions you selected. So, its too late and there is no way you could save shsh for 4.0.2 or below.

I remember that he also said that there will be no major difference between 4.1 and 4.2.
Will see what comes ahead.

Don't you follow a generic process/rule - "READ CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU USE"...
