I got the same feeling. There are some striking parallels between the two- like the pawnbroker characters, and the wealthy old men who seek immortality, vampirism. The strain series is also a bit lovecraftian in some ways. The group of ancients vs Sardu and his growing plague reminds me of the elder things vs the shoggoths. Im sure theres plenty more examples if you look into it.
my sentiments exactly. Just because he doesnt like hellboy, he assumes noone does. And i too want a third, but not if it involves killing off hellboy before mignola gets around to it, but thats another discussion entirely.
I thought Gig Patta posted the concept art like a week ago. must be a slow week. Nice "uncovering" by /film btw.
Did you read the Buzzard mini-series that just ran? It had a short storyline for Billy the Kid at the end of each issue that led up to "The Ghasly Fiend of London" series that is running right now. All that ive gotta say is eric powell is fucking splendid.
I vote Donald Glover for the flash. He didn't get spiderman, and I think he deserves it.
I would be satisfied with either of those villians. Both the Riddler and Hush are always several steps ahead of Batman in their plots against him ( sometimes while working together) and I think either one of them would make the movie a thrilling, psychological who-dunnit mystery.- something not outside of Nolan's portfolio.
Batman is being chased away from gotham city after the death of harvey dent, and is going to help rebuild new orleans, and clean up the gulf.
To have stereotypes destroy the world?
I don't know much about edward norton's personality or any of that, but I get tired of hearing actors saying they are ready to jump on board to the guaranteed blockbusters just to get themselves some free publicity, even though they will likely not end up with the part. Robin williams said he would want to play the riddler " or anything really" - which is not surprising considering some of the shitty jobs hes taken up in the past years. Dont get me wrong hes had his share of good performances, but I have no doubt that he is willing to take "anything."
