Really, there aren't that many anti-capitalistic leftoids in the US. Once you get away from college campuses and Hollywood, the argument is over how much government regulation should be in a free market economy, not whether we should have one at all.

I was disappointed when it was canceled. 15 issues sounds about right. I'll have to dig it out and take another look at it.

It sounds like a self-resolving problem then. As societies advance, their death rates go down, but so do their birthrates. Thus the US down to nearly replacement rate while many of the ethnic European nationalities are shrinking. Assuming current trends continue then global population should peak and begin to decline in the 2030's.

Independence Day; Alien explorers with superior technology and firepower decide to loot a planet of its resources while slaughtering the indigenous inhabitants if they even look like they might get in the way. That hold a "mirror" up wasn't it?
