What all Rhode Islanders need to remember is that Cicilline is a Democrat in the House. No matter what you thought of him as Mayor of Providence cannot override the fact that we can't lose another Democratic seat in the house. Imagine a GOP Congress and what that will continue to do to our State's poor, elderly and disabled citizens. We can't risk it.

Right wing violence is going to get worse, as hateful comments spew from the mouths of Republicans like Michelle Bachman. People of sensible minds need to stand by each other and make it known to the wider community that such acts as vandalism and violence against ethnic and racial groups will not be tolerate. My heart goes out to the families of the victims in Wisconsin and the good people of the Masjid al-Islam Mosque in North Smithfield.

Chick-fil-A is a known contributor to hate groups. Since when is hatred and bigotry a "family value"? Shows how evil the so called Right Wing Christian and conservative Catholic movements are. I would not eat at Chick-fil-A if I were starving. They are pretty secretive about their chicken sources as well, making me wonder if there's also Tyson Farms like abuses going on.

Zimmerman followed an unarmed boy for no reason other than that he "looked suspicious." He could have listened to the police and waited. He could have remained in his vehicle. There's no excuse for what he did. It was simply an execution of an innocent minor.

This is good news for the many people who the 1% have driven into poverty. Food stamps should be protected, until the rich pay their fare share and we get jobs back here. Just watch now, how the GOP led Congress will gut the food stamps. Man, we need to be rid of them.

Republicans like to lie. What they really mean is that they don't want taxes to go up on the very wealthy that pay for their campaigns.

Walker is a blatant liar and your article seems to be favorable toward him. Pity indeed as he is a puppet of the evil Koch brothers who are using him to crush the middle class in that state. The fiscal crisis prompting the actions against unions was a scam, and he proved that when he was taped discussion his divide and conquer strategy to created a "completely red state" with a couple of his billionaire donors.

Romney is a job killer, pure and simple. Oh yeah, he created jobs at Staples and Sports Authority. Low wage, minimal benefit jobs, unlike the higher paying good benefit union jobs he killed to make huge profits for himself and his partners.

What I think is pathetic is the money the religious right (which is neither) and wealthy dirty fuel barons dump millions into GOP candidate coffers, essentially purchaing the politicians who will keep these outdated laws in place. Face it, wiithout the support and pressure by chuches, many of these people (who also vote to dismantle our social safety net, which gravely endangers our elderly and poor, and keep dirty oil and coal practices like mountainttop removal (which poisons our air and water) would not be in office. Jesus never said a think about homosexuals. And these so called Christian politicians who voted for the despicable Ryan budget. What part of Matthew 25 did they not understand. Anyone who is a pro life, anti gay person who supports the current Republican party as it rapes and pillages our most vulnerable citizens is a two faced phoney. Stop the gays and let the poor starve and go withiout health insurance. Jesus would surely disagree.
