Try to see if Cydia have saved the old shsh of your phone... you see it from the Cydia Home page, if you have a previous version of the 4.2.1 shsh my method should work. like this even the moderator is happy and wont erase my comment anymore, even he dosen't gave me any answer about my question.
Again, I haven't saved my SHSH too...I got the same troubles, and now i'm calling and sending SMS using every App and tweak...so how could is that possible? I'm waiting for a relevant answer.
Ok, Tiny Umbrella don't work on my OS... so I should not have saved the SHSH... right? I got the same trouble, I wasn't able to get out from recovery mode, and with that solution it worked. Could you give me clear explanation of this... I'm not David Copperfield that get SHSH from a hat, and I'm not your dear Steve. Give me a reason and I will stop.
doesen't matter, even I hadn't the SHSH saved... He should try to go first in pwned DFU mode from that version of redsn0w, and than do the process I explained before...
Dude, first you need Redsn0w 0.9.6b2 and the 4.1 firmware from apple. First go un Pwned DFU mode with that version of redsn0w, then do the jailbreaking process with that version of redsn0w and that firmware, than you have a 3GS FW 4.1 BB 6.15 perfectly working... Except for the GPS issues, than try with Ultrasn0w to unlock it... I got the same troubles, but i made it... you wont be able to update to any firmware upper than the 4.1, but you still have the iPhone working again...let me know if you do that.
due to a problem reported by redsn0w with the new firmware, I tried to go back to 4.1 with an earlier version of redsnow, namely the 0.9.6b2 with the iPhone firmware. result? 3G iPhone new boot, firmware 4.1 unlocked and 6.15 BB unthetered ... try it yourself, maybe you have simplified the job for a jailbreak unthetered also on the new boot for the 3GS.
same trouble, while updating from itunes it give me the error 1015 i've a 3GS new boot
Please guys I need help. I'm stuck at the DFU mode... I've used Ired to kick out the device from recovery loop, adn when i try to install the custom firmware 4.2.1 the installation stuck at installing bundles... please help...
