Paul, thanks for your words of wisdom today and throughout this week! I've been challenged to grow closer to our Savior.

Jenny, it is great having you back blogging. I like your content and creativity. Living life for the applause of our Creator rather than His creation is a daily struggle for me. And, I know I'm not alone. God, help me to look to YOU for accolades and affirmation!

Linda, I agree with you, There is something so attractive and freeing to know what we are to do and then to do it. Every day, resolute focus. That doesn't mean I shouldn't listen to God moment by moment, because He may choose to change my agenda whenever He wants. My challenge is to stay close to God and keep a teachable, flexible attitude as I follow faithfully after HIm!

Jenny, I agree with Jim. You've done a great job the past two days describing my thoughts about these two well-known (and sometimes controversial) passages. Regularly being reminded of my spiritual gifts and the proper motivation to applying them is essentilal when living out the stewardship God has given me. Thanks for once again bringing these items to my attention! Let's follow Mark and Tim's exhortation these past two Sundays to "Love and Live Well"!

I want to live a life free from the fear of reprisal from authority. Like Darrell's example, if I live out what the Apostle Paul is telling us then freedom from judgment (discipline/punishment) will follow. If I am unjustly accused, I can still be confident God will use it for His glory while building my faith. Not an easy road, but one that God calls us as Believers to travel!

I agree with David. Thanks, Jim, for leading us so well over the past two weeks! You've demonstrated an open, honest approach to applying the Scripture (i,e. Mark) to your life which has lead me to an honest assessment of my life. Way to go!

God, help my heart to be like a new wineskin with fresh wine as we begin this New Year. I don't want my heart to become rigid and prevent me from accepting the new life that Christ offers. Keep my heart pliable and open to accepting the life-changing truths of Jesus!
