I will be voting no. The city raised property taxes 8% and then wants to extend another tax? With the amount of mismanagement of funds in this city they need to go back to the drawing board and figure out who and what is important. Case in point, the five season center, the amphitheater by the pd, the flood wall, etc.
so it sounds like the PD picked her up and gave her some new bracelets....after she tried to hit up another one. Who else saw that coming?
With the 8% property tax increase I would gather the city will outsource the investigation and we (the residents) will get stuck paying some absurd bill! 8%, come on. This is another reason I am moving out of cedar rapids! I'll miss the smell of crunch berry day though.
don't be surprised if EMS will be carrying weapons into the hospitals now if Rescue 57 is discontinued. Not only can they save lives, but they can enforce the law and protect EMS as well!
Dear Linn County Supervisors....WHAT ARE YOU THINKING. Please let me know when the next meeting is instead of hiding this meeting? I will be there to support my fellow EMS providers. I am a paramedic, and I would hate to see Rescue go. The service means lives are saved. It's proven, Paramedics save lives!
