When we get to the polls, we are able to select between one set of politicians who will screw us over in one direction, or the other set, who will just screw us all over in another direction...
They are all corrupt, and have to answer to whatever special interests funded their campaigns...
However, I will continue to vote against the liberals (Democrats), because that is the only way that there is any hope of avoiding our country being changed from the U.S.A. into the U.S.S.A.
The political process has been corrupted beyond repair, and we will continue to see declines in our quality of life, and increases in the taxes we pay to ensure this decay, until the people decide they are angry enough to 'clean house' like was done in 1776...
Until then, nothing changes... Guaranteed!

It used to be that the largest group of union supported employees was blue collar...
Now it's government employees.
Once those unions are broken, and lazy public employees have to pay for their own retirement benefits, our state's financial situation will get better.
I'm a Republican, but if Patterson would have tried to break the public service unions,I would have supported him 100%. They are the biggest drain on our states economy, no doubt about it...
The ignorant and un-intelligent can continue to bag on the welfare system, but if they want to seem like they are better than idiots, they will recognize that public service unions are the real problem...
Let's fix the states problems and bring public employees down to equal their private sector equivalents...
Until these changes are made, our state's economy will continue to suffer, and every one of us will see higher taxes every year...
Don't be stupid... break the unions...

There is no way you CANNOT blame the parents! At least that is what the law says: Your children aren't old enough to make rational decisions about alcohol (obviously) and you decided to leave them home by themselves... If one of the teens at your house would have driven drunk and killed someone, you would also be liable for all of that. All you need to do is look at a few news articles to see that...
You ARE responsible for what happens at YOUR house, whether you are there or not when it comes to underage drinking! That's what the law says!
Now, you just need to experience that for yourselves! I hope they throw the book at you for every possible charge they can level at you, including Extortion charges for trying to extort money from the boy's mother by using a threat!
YOU blew it, and YOU need to face the heat!
Everyone with a bit of common sense needs to show up at the arraignment hearing for the boy and protest it!

The medications mentioned are "Oxycontin" and "Lortab". Also an 'heroine' is a female that acts heroically, the narcotic drug is 'heroin'.
And, "Scot", there is no law that requires doctors to drug-test their patients. That would be a clear violation of the right to privacy that is guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States...
New York State does have a database of narcotic medication prescriptions that helps reduce the chances of people getting narcotic prescriptions from multiple doctors. However, it isn't a perfect system, but it's something...

This rail line is supposed to cost 85 million dollars... After that money is spent, Amtrack might be able to sell 20 tickets per year...
I can't imagine what they are thinking in regards to this thing...
