A couple of observations on this so called break-up. As a Canadian relative of mine said 10 years ago "You guys tried that in the 1860s, didn't work". We all know how that turned out. The other is the misnomer by the "historian and linguist" from South Africa that we were an "empire" commencing in 1790. Hardly. We have maybe been a world "power" for, at the most, 100 years or so. The years from 1790 through the ending of the 19th century we were only a bit player on the world scene. With these 2 facts in mind, break up isn't going to happen.
