I think they siphoned away Jack's testosterone last season and then injected it into Renee. It's not the same.

Jack and the show are missing the edge that made the show so compelling.

I was 18 in 1976 when I fell for the Carter propaganda about him being a born again conservative Democrat and I voted for him. The next 4 years were a nightmare. I remember having to slip out of work on my lunch break so that I could hope to get a couple of gallons of gas (as prices soared) and not wait in huge lines at the pumps because of the phony gas "shortages." The job market was horrible and as a teen with no experience I had to take the worst of the worst. The pay was horrible and they treated you like dirt because they could easily replace you. There was runaway inflation and interest rates were 18%. I voted for Reagan in the next election and there is no doubt he saved this country. Greatest president of the 20th century.

The series died last year when they forced the obnoxious Jeaneane Garofalo on us and then had Jack request a Muslim cleric to confess his sins to as he lay dying.

While the series has technically returned, "24" and Jack just haven't realized that they are both in fact dead.

Richard Boone - there you go! Very underrated tough guy. Wouldn't have wanted to meet him in a dark alley.

I heartlly agree! He is one rough looking customer. He's probably best know as the evil Falconetti in Rich Man, Poor Man. Here's a clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyeF-XDZrTo

I think we can all agree that people like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are nothing but race hustlers. The world would be a much better place if they were ignored as much as possible so that they'd fade away. Then why do conservatives such as Hannity (whom I admire) and others still give them air time any time views on race from the black community are needed? It drives me crazy.

I'm guessing that it was much like the Seinfeld episode where Kramer became an expert at karate. Fighting ten year olds.

Never a big fan of Merman. Didn't dislike her, but her singing/shouting style wasn't my cup of tea.

I'd asked in an open thread about Harry Reid and why the mainstream media always seemed to slip in "the former boxer" when talking about him. He doesn't look or sound like a guy who spent any serious time in the ring. To be honest I suspected Fred Rogers or Peewee Herman would give him quite a tussle. I'd come up empty on searches for any pro or even Golden Gloves experience. I'd joked that perhaps his boxing experience came from getting gloves for Christmas and punching around his little brother. Turns out I wasn't far off. Reid’s boxing experience? He’d signed up for boxing… in high school! I guess I can now start calling myself "the former football star" since I had a good year playing on my freshman team.

What a farce, just as I suspected.

Glad I could do it!

I'd posted earlier this morning about Harry Reid, questioning whether there was any proof that he boxed since he and the media love to bring it up any chance they get. What's the saying, "If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck." Well, when I look at old Harry, he doesn't look, walk, or talk like anyone who's been a boxer.

I've always been pretty good at digging out even the most obscure information on the internet and so I did some more searching when I got home. There is no actual record or evidence anywhere that I can find that he was ever a boxer, only that he claims to have been one. Perhaps he got some gloves for Christmas when he was 6 and punched his little brother around. Who knows. What I did find is that there are others who have attempted to find proof of any kind of boxing record and have come up as empty as I did. Someone needs to a bit of digging on this guy - it's time for him to exit the stage anyway and one more push might do it.
