Eh, technically Ohio has about 100 miles of coastline on Lake Erie. Say what you will about Lake Erie but it is still technically coastline.
How is it that a U.S. Congressman can charge a fee for his "townhall" meeting? Was it officially billed as a fundraiser? If not it sure smacks of something akin to a poll tax. Also, what jurisdiction does a U.S. Rep have in issuing arrest orders? This reminds me of the fall of Rome - entertain the masses with mindless entertainment to distract them from the crumbling society around them. Do you think Rome had their own Kardashians?
We did it in Ohio too and the same tired objections were raised. No one seems to mind too much now and it's only been three years since implementation.
The sad thing is the general public will hear "debt ceiling increase" and "Obama" and McChinless will get exactly what he wants. Once again, the Democrats will be punished for actually trying to govern for the betterment of the country versus scoring cheap political points while the walls collapse around them.
Have fun running away from the economy while Obama can point to job growth, as slight as it is and especially in the automotive sector, while hammering the Republicans for abdicating their responsibilities to the country. The problem is that doesn't fit on a bumper sticker very well so it will go over the heads of the general populace.
