Indeed. As much as I respect Ving Rhames as an actor, I would love to know just what the folks at the USA Network were smoking when they cast him as Kojak. I always considered his Greek ethnicity much more noteworthy than his bald head. Nia Vardalos might have made a better choice.

As much as I dislike George Clooney, I thought that he would have done a fine job playing Napoleon Solo in a proposed "Man From U.N.C.L.E." Film. Alas, injuries from previous movies forced him to bow out. Nominations for Solo & Kuryakin roles, anyone?

Is Depp still scheduled to play Tonto in a "Lone Ranger" remake? THAT one made me shudder.
I understand that Depp has SOME Native American ancestry, but I seriously doubt that he can come close to recreating the dignity and regal bearing of Jay Silverheels.
Personally, I thought that Adam Beach (Law & Order: SVU) would be able to do a credible job.

I was rather dismayed that a series based on such a groundbreaking antecedent would end on such a depressing note. When I feel a need to be depressed, I just contemplate my love life.
