The lie isn't actually a violation of law (unless a Federal Agent is lied to during a criminal investigation). The charge would be "Obstruction of Justice" or possibly "False Reporting" as the slug identified Andrew as the one who threw the egg.

It is entirely possible that there is not a detachment of Seals on the destroyer. However I would be willing to bet large sums of money there is a detachment on the Anphib Assualt Ship. If there aren't any Seals there are an awful lot of Marines. They would also have the capability to launch boats that would be able to take out the lifeboat. I too am curious why the FBI is there. They have no authority/jurisdiction outside the USA. That is the CIAs domain. Granted, the FBI has a lot of experience in hostage negotiations, but the best negotiator on the scene is the 5 inch gun on the destroyer.

Of course Reid wants to put it on the fast track. This is the only way he can get it passed in the Senate. If he can't do it fairly, he'll unfairly, improperly or unconstitutionally. I know the Repubs used this, but it was to get the tax cuts, which was good for the country, past the obstructionist dummycrats. This will hurt the economy.
Did anyone hear the British pol that gave that great speech on Hannity's show saying the worst thing the US could do was to follow Great Britain down the path of socialized medicine?

12. A fair tax/flat tax must be instituted, and the 16th Amendment repealed.
13. The USA shall remove itself from the United Nations and no government monies shall be used to assist or fund the United Nations. The United Nations shall be required to entirely remove itself from the territory of the United States of America within 90 days of the USA withdrawal from the body.
14. The USA shall work to establish a League of Democratic Nations.
15. ALL tax increases must be put to a vote of the PEOPLE.

6.Congressional salaries must be cut by 2/3 from the current level, and any increase in salary must be approved by a 2/3 majority vote of the PEOPLE. There would no longer be any inflated expense accounts. While Congress is in session, the members would receive a $250.00 per day per diem while actually in Washington D.C., based upon receipts.
7.The Speaker of the House WOULD NOT be allowed the use of a government aircraft or be allowed government funded security (they aren’t all that important).
8.All "fact finding" trips and junkets would be at the Member's expense.
9.The gold/silver standard must be reinstituted.

1.Representatives and Senators can only serve two terms and after leaving office cannot run for another Federal office other than President/Vice-President.
2.Elected officials cannot possess a law degree.
3.Members of Congress cannot live in or within one hour of the Washington D.C. area, unless they represent one of the surrounding states.
4.Congress can only be in session for four months each calendar year. If it were to take longer than that to conduct business, it can be done with a secure online connection from the Member’s home district.
5.All Senators and Representatives MUST have the same health care plans and retirement plans as their constituents. Senators and Representatives do not become vested in a lifetime retirement by serving the people.
