Umm.. I think maybe they may be a bit occupied at the moment...lol
WiFi/wireless is okay for laptops as long has the hub is centrally located within the home. Also building materials can interfere with range and connectivity. For desktop systems you want to be hardwired to your network. You get better connectivity and building materials don't come into play with your signals from a hub. It all comes through the wires. Some folks prefer to have computers in their rooms. It is more private that way. Others like me prefer to have all systems in one location with the exception of a few laptops throughout my home for quick access when I am taking an appointment. My phone system is the same way. I have phones in almost every room in my home. It makes things much easier to deal with when calls come in for my business. I usually have a laptop close by for that purpose as well. I also agree RV and boat parking should be a must.
There is a half bath on the first floor down the left hallway from the entry on the right. It's the first door I am thinking. It is not marked on the diagrams.
Yeah I am in agreement about the Living/Game room. My husband and I run our own computer repair business. So in our household we have around 10-12 computers running at any given time. Some are laptops but most are desktop PC's. We prefer to keep all systems in one location. It is easier to work and to make sure kids aren't doing what they shouldn't be doing. It also makes it easier for computer gaming when everyone can talk and not yell or run from room to room.
Same here. I believe a pool with a spa would be fantastic here. You could swim in the middle of the night in summer when its warm or sit in the hot tub/spa in winter to relax. Why should you have to leave your dream home when you have guests? Besides, going out these days costs way to much. When you have a large family it is even worse. Something to think on.
Getting more and more disturbing. I have a home based business. It cuts back on overhead to not have to pay for a store front and the like. Are they saying something like that would not be acceptable? We are mobile techs so we don't usually bring our work home. We do it onsite at the clients place. Need to try and figure out all the no no's.
Hmm...I have two cats and two snakes. Would I be breaking the rules to have all my pets with me?
I really like this floor plan. Everyone is separate from everyone else. In my mind I am thinking there should be a library or even a room that you can put lots of computers. I know if I were to win this home I would need a place to set up shop so to speak. Is the house going to be wired for cable/internet in every room? Is there going to be a space for RV parking or boat parking? I am thinking that game room may work well for all the computers my family has.
Any deck they place along side the home will need to be above ground due to snow in winter and possible flooding in spring and summer. It may also be a partial wrap around due to it being on two sides of the home.
beehivestate do you know if the winner can have a small green house of their own there? Cost of food is getting way to expensive to have to go out and buy everything these days.
