Having the ability to stay vague when discussing gameplans, injuries, and other player/team news is an important trait to have as a head coach, and like it or not, Reid clearly failed at doing that this week.

What I was trying to say was that the Jets have a lot to lose if they can't get Revis back, in that their aspirations are basically Super Bowl championship or bust. Not having Revis hurts them tremendously, and could end up costing them their shot at winning it all this year. So my thought is that they should do what they can to sign him now. That's all.
Hope you drop back in again... thanks for the comment.

Could I have worded it differently? Maybe. Does it really matter? I don\'t think it does but obviously to you it does. My apologies for not making things more clear for you.

I don't think the Steelers are going to be major players in this free agent class and here's why:
1. They never spend a ton of cash on free agents. The Steelers are among the best at identifying talent in house and cultivating those players into stardom. They also draft really well and consistently pull out at least two or three key players each year that will contribute to their success.
2. They don't have that many needs. Not many teams can say that with a straight face, but in Pittsburgh's case, it's true. They struggled last season because of injuries and a lack of offensive identity. Not because they didn't have enough talent. The Steelers are built to win with tough defense and a strong running game. Once they went to the air it out approach, things quickly devolved for them. I think you'll see a much more familiar team hit the field this fall, with the emphasis returning to crushing their opponents by running it down their throats.
Hope that helps... thanks again for the question!
