Mortgage modification is the most cruel process that I have ever encountered. My sister lost a great job, took a job making no money and has been trying to hold on to her house. She started the process in February. WASHING MUTUAL MORTGAGE-NOW CHASE BANK has LOST HER MODIFICATION PACKET ....F*O*U*R T*I*M*E*S.... Disappeared, lost zilch, wiped out of their system. She has a sympathetic attorney with a real heart helping her. My heart goes out to people who are not dead-beats, caught up in this economy, who are hanging on by their fingernails trying to keep their homes.
Greedy banks take our tax dollars to bail themselves out and show no honest attempt to help the people with the money they received. If my sister were applying for a new loan, with her previous great credit score, she would have received it in less than a month.
It is time to allow judges at foreclosures to "smakck down" the greedy banks or "smack down" the loans.
