The west side needs flood protection. It needs protection but not at the expense of the homes. Build the levees on the berms. We have enough parks.

Anytime the Presidents of the good ol' US of A are in town the plans are usually if an emergency were to occur they would stabilize the President at one of the local hospitals, whichever he was closest to and the airlift him to Iowa City. Why? U of I is at a treatment level that is not available in Cedar Rapids. Moral of the story is no matter how they build is something is seriously wrong with you and your life is at risk, get to IC as fast as you can!

Mercy Hospital made a slam dunk! Using their own money, not begging the City for tax breaks. Now here comes St. Luke's whining about being left out. Give me a break. A TAX BREAK! Thank you Mercy Hospital for being a contributing part of this community now and now just promising to do so in the future.

Ron Corbett has got to be the laziest Mayor ever as far as meeting with the public is concerned. He would rather meet in boardrooms with his cronies than do anything in public. He's convinced he is far superior to all of you idiots who bother to attend the meetings.
