Interesting, and I agree 100% with the need of unity, primaries, etc. Yet he chooses to go out in public -with such a strong media presence- by himself. Not representing any political party, not aligned with the new "mesa de unidad", just as Leopoldo Lopez.
I think he should have aimed for a public debate among the oposition instead of going solo. This will be old news tomorrow and easily forgotten. He still has the political capital to do something more meaningul than a press release.

Are you serious? I can't stop laughing at the chinchorro fight!
At the end of the day is just a typical case of "viveza criolla", spaniards want to visit the "real" third world, and some local is making a nice profit from that video.

I'm not trying to divert the conversation from the economic arena. But am I the only one thinking that Saturday’s announcements were not about economic issues at all? I think it was a brilliant strategy to refrain the opposition from taking action in the Rosales and decentralization law issues. Think about it, since the potential “paquetazo” was announced everyone focused on waiting ‘til Saturday, preparing scenarios, meanwhile Chavez took control of the airports and the fiscalia accused Rosales…I think the real economic measures will arrive soon from any of the ministers.

I just found this blog and I can't begin to tell you how excited I am. I thought no one was discussing this in the US and I honestly was losing my mind with the Noticiero Digital Forums (I can honestly say that "disociados" actually exist... and they're all there). As a born and raised maracucha I've been hearing allegations against Rosales for a while now, we still kept voting for him just because it meant not allowing Di Martino to claim that we were Chavista Territory. I don't think it was because of ideological reasons, but a sequel of our separatist tendency (yes, Chavez nationalism and the Republica Independiente del Zulia just don't match). Anyway, I'm pretty sure he's guilty but I'm supporting the guy nonetheless
