The proposal I saw that made a lot of sense was the plus 1 expanded to 6 teams. The top 2 games got a "bye" while team #3 would play #6 and #4 would play #5. Then #1 would play the lower rank and so on...

This way the top 2 teams were rewarded for having the best record/ranking

You didn't answer me about #1 or #3. In the late 90s/Early 2000s when everything was "good" there were a lot of employees who got positions they didn't deserve because the talent pool was so diluted. Now there is more competition for those same positions, of course the employer is going to pick the more qualified and talented person. It has nothing to do with age, or discrimination. Yes in my previous comment I said I earn 6 figures a year, but I also have half my salary I did 5 years ago because the times have changed....

Actually I earn six figures a year and I'm in my 20s, if you've applied for 130 jobs and haven't been hired then either:

1.) Your applying for Jobs you have no business applying for

2.) Your a horrible interviewer (If this is the case then you should consider a career coach (very inexpensive)

3.) You're holding your standards to high, just because you made 100k a year one time doesn't mean you get to earn that for every position for the rest of your life.

This guys comment is exactly the problem we have right now, there are plenty of jobs available. I know 5 different people that moved to other companies just within the last 2 weeks. Bottom line people just don't want to work!

It's pretty easy ---> APPLY, FOLLOW UP, INTERVIEW, GET THE JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm tired of all these protestors, you're embarrassing the state and the system!

Get a Job! (If you have a job, then go back to work). The state is in a recession just like everybody else, no one wants to pay extra tax but lets suck up pay the $0.005 increase and move on. Contrary to previous statements the Rich do buy things just like everyone else does, sales tax is the by far the most equal taxation amongst everyone (Even drug dealers have to pay).

WA is a liberal state, there is no way of getting around that. All the conservatives would love to chop state government and employees, etc but face it that's not going to happen.

Everyone needs to remember that WA State Taxes are pretty small in comparison. We don't have an Income Tax, our Sales Tax is very average, we don't have a vehicle tax, our property tax is very average. WTH do you guys want!!!!

Comparing the US Highway System to Germany's Autobahn is not even a comparison, Sq miles wise Germany is just a bit bigger than Oregon and WA. The US is about 25x bigger....Their Autobahn back then was like driving I-5 from Seattle to Portland.

The US Basically Invented the Interstate Highway system so suburbs were built along Freeways, in other countries (Japan, Europe, etc) were built along side the rail system.

What I'm getting at is the high speed rail lines are not going to be efficient unless they build them along side the interstates, and even then America is a Car Country not a Rail Country.

If it were me I would use that same money and invest in the Interstate system and try to improve our highways, by adding lanes or New Roadways.

You need to pick the lesser of 2 evils,

1.) Let Coal & Gas Power Plants still pollute the air
2.) Have more dead birds from Wind Farms

I would think #1 would have more harmful effects on the planet than #2.
