"Islam does not commend somebody to do something like this"

Yeah right! Here's a couple of quotes taken from the Koran online at the University of Mich (http://quod.lib.umich.edu/k/koran/)...

9.123 “O you who believe! fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness; and know that Allah is with those who guard (against evil).”

4.74 “Therefore let those fight in the way of Allah, who sell this world’s life for the hereafter; and whoever fights in the way of Allah, then be he slain or be he victorious, We shall grant him a mighty reward.”

The Imam lies as do any who claim that Islam is not the problem here.

19 weeks ago @ Big Government - Sarkozy Mocks Obama at... · 0 replies · +2 points

Sarkozy and others in the EU have probably developed a slight case of the jitters. Obama has just shoved Eastern Europe into the waiting arms of the Russians. Obama has continuously snubbed GB, possibly America's best friend on the international scene. Obama is turning his back on Israel, one of the few democracies in that region. Obama is actively kissing the rear ends of the world's dictators (the West's enemies). Obama bent knee to the king of Saudi Arabia and makes it a point to grovel before the feet of Islam whenever he can manage an audience. Obama is doing his best to emasculate America by borrowing away our future while being hell bent on destroying the dollar.

All of this is happening while Europe faces a growing muslim population which shows signs of being a kettle ready to boil over. Russia is using energy to blackmail the EU while showing, once again, aggression towards it neighbors. Iran is close to having nuclear technology while being ruled by a muslim fanatics. In short order Iran will have little trouble finding missiles capable of hitting Israel or even Europe with nuclear weapons. This becomes twice as scary if you read this congressional report on the dangers presented by an EMP attack. http://www.empcommission.org/docs/empc_exec_rpt.p...

The world needs a strong America at the same time that Obama is pulling America's teeth. Sarkozy, no doubt sees this and is more then a little concerned. It was vogue for the French and other European elitists to criticize America while America was pulling both our and their weight. Now it looks as though they will have to pull a little weight of their own. I doubt seriously that the EU prefers it this way. We will no doubt start to see a different kind of criticism aimed at the US by EU leaders. They shouted and cheered when Obama got elected. It'll be interesting to see if they eventually come to yearn for the GW days after they finally understand just how little Obama has to offer them.

The reason for this is that the parties control the election process. They have successfully divided the country into two camp by using divisive issues such as abortion and gun control. People view themselves as Republican or Democrat as much as American.

Once they accomplished dividing the nation it was not hard to limit electorate choices during the election process. Unless the party supports a candidate it is nearly impossible for the person to get elected. The parties promote career politicians knowing that the longer a person inhabits DC he/she becomes more and more a tool of the establishment. Look at the people who have been in Washington the longest. They are the party mouthpieces. They will vote the party's will over the will of the electorate every time.

It's time to replace all of them from both parties.

Here's a suggestion that might help reform congress. Change the law so that individual state legislatures determine the pay and benefits of their own federal representatives.

I think congress has demonstrated that they are not trustworthy enough to determine their own compensation.

Most congressmen are only interested in supporting their party. The American electorate and America itself are only secondary concerns. When a congress person votes the party line, clearly against the will of its constituents, there is a serious problem with our political system. A battle is developing between both political parties and the electorate.

The takeover of healthcare has been a Democrat Party goal for generations. With the election of Obama and the emasculated group that now inhabits the halls of congress, it senses a chance for success and is going to try and do anything it has to do to succeed. Americans will be lucky to thwart their evil designs.

Dave should start a club reserved for bitter old rejected superstars. Dan Rather would probably join. I think Oprah will eventually be in there. If he opens it to his leftist political buddies he will fill it up after next year's election. Imagine what conversation would be like in such a place.

By the way, several of you posted that Letterman was never funny. That's not true. He was the funniest weatherman of all time.

Congress should be all over this obvious violation of law but instead we get a meek half-arsed "request for an explanation" from the so-called opposition party.

Here we have a classic example of the Democrat controlled congress evading its constitutional duties (in regards to checks and balances) for the sake of the Democrat party. When our congress ignores the the law in order to protect their Republican and Democrat parties it is time to replace our congress. We need to vote these traitors (of both parties) out of office.

Elect NO incumbent during the next three election cycles and we can change the face of congress and seize control of our country back from the Democrat and Republican parties.

19 weeks ago @ Big Hollywood - Palin's Hong Kong Spee... · 0 replies · +2 points

Palin is the boogeywoman for both the Republican and the Democrat parties. The Republican party fears her because it is completely out of phase with what she stands for. There has hardly been a conservative thought in the Republican party since the Contract With America days. It is easy for Republicans to leave Palin to be mauled by the wolves of the MSM. She makes them uncomfortable.

The Democrats are terrified of here. Her power to stay in the news is a two-edged sword. The media is trying as hard as it can to discredit her but can not do so without providing here with plenty of free publicity. If there is any credence to the adage "any publicity is good publicity" then Palin's star is rising.

She is in a similar position that Thatcher found herself in during her early days in politics. Thatcher was perceived as lacking experience in regards to foreign policy and diplomacy. Thatcher managed to change that perception and managed to become a very successful figure in GB politics. Palin can do the same and appears to be working towards that goal. Conducting policy speeches like this one, to foreign audiences, while making the malicious agents of the MSM sit outside the door to scrape for a story is, IMHO, a good stategery (tygw).

I agree. The Republican dogs are the same who spent like drunken pirates, refused to address illegal immigration and biggered government during the Bush administration. Both Republican and Democrats are destroying America. It's time for a new party but until that happens don't vote for any incumbent, regardless of party. Lifetime politicians are destroying America.

The worst of it is that more and more of the money that our government is spending is money that is borrowed from the Chinese (and others). Both parties think that it is fine to borrow in our name knowing full well that our children and their children will be stuck paying it back WITH INTEREST. It's time to send these pirates home. Elect NO incumbents for the next 3 election cycles and we'll have a new congress.
