If you're trying to learn what a religion teaches, you don't just look at its followers. They may all be different in levels of knowledge, commitment, practice, etc. You must look at the religion's teachings first. Then you can determine whether the followers you have met are living according to those teachings, and to what extent.
For Islam, those teachings are found in the Koran and the hadith. (The sayings/traditions of Mohammad.)
That is where we must begin.

Islam is not a race. Did your professor tell you that? Also, show me the racism in the article. Produce it. Show it to me.
There's no mention of race in the article. The only mention of race is in your comment. Here, let me show you the evidence:
"If the so-called bombers were white christians, you would be cheering them on."
Now, produce the evidence of "racism" in the article, like I asked. I'll be waiting for it.
Also, please tell your professor also to teach you how to capitalize proper names/titles like Christian.
I forgot to add, please demonstrate to me where the Bible has open-ended commands for Jews or Christians to commit violence against unbelievers. And then demonstrate to me where Jews or Christians are committing such acts, all over the world, on a regular basis, in obedience to those commands.
I'm sure at least your professor gave you this information, or you read it yourself because you are so educated, right? In fact, you must know it off the top of your head. Produce the evidence.

The fact is that you have NO CLUE what Islam teaches. If you did, you'd know it condones and commands the slaughter of infidels - including YOU, if you are not a Muslim.
Even laying that aside, the very fact that there has been jihad going on around the world since before America EXISTED serves to demonstrate the complete ignorance of your statement.
