I am 27 years old, have always wanted to dye my hair blue (just for a little while, but I haven't had a job where I thought I could get away with it until recently), and am still debating whether to get that Eeyore tattoo I've always wanted. I've never smoked or done drugs, and I disapprove of premarital sex. I'm also a collector of art like this: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OD_ELPYuDWo/Tmfe_UVN84I... and oh yeah, I'm a die-hard conservative. I listen to Rush and Glenn, I frequent all the Breitbart sites, Hot Air, RedState, and Michelle Malkin. I designed a logo for the Tea Party.

AND I applaud you for this article. IT'S A DOLL, FOLKS. Don't we have bigger fish to fry? When you allow such trivial things to offend your delicate sensibilities, you play right into the liberals' hands.

Because beating drums at all hours and getting an arrest on your permanent record is way more effective. Right.

This confuses me..... I went to no less than five Tea Party demonstrations at the Georgia Capitol, and we were always treated respectfully by the police: not only did they appear to genuinely like us, but they always removed any disruptive liberal party-crashers very quickly. Furthermore, the pole-height thing was well-known after the first couple of events, and when I was a volunteer, it was part of my job to confiscate any poles/sticks. No one ever complained or gave me trouble for it. So, while I can agree that the OWS people are not being held to the same standards as Tea Partiers, it's unfair to say that the police have been biased AGAINST the Tea Party, because they were always kind.

I imagine the truth has more to do with intimidation than agreement with the OWS protesters' ideas. The police know these new protesters would not comply as peacefully as Tea Partiers did, so they're reluctant to enforce the rules. Still stinks, though. But hey, you don't hear us whining about how UNFAIR life is.

Matt is awesome. And his mom and dad are awesome, and his wife is awesome. Just sayin'. :D

So glad to see him doing well, and to the rest of the family, we miss you! ;)

Um, Tangled didn't make it? What, no love for the classic fairy tale? Come on, folks, that movie rocked. Right up there with How to Train Your Dragon (and Toy Story 3, though honestly I'm tired of sequels, even good ones).

Dying to see The King's Speech, though. Surprised Black Swan didn't make it, either.

I always planned on seeing this movie, even after hearing the lame comments from Neeson and the producer. What shocks me is how harsh many commenters seem to be on the first two films: you're entitled to your own opinion, of course, but I think that, since the books are so short, simple, and lack much detail (as compared to Tolkein's work, for instance), the choices made to extend them to movie-length were good ones. Having read the books, I tend to think that the movies make for a much better entertainment experience (which is not to impugn C.S. Lewis, who was a fabulous writer), since the action and humor can be amplified for the films.

Anyway, I'm hardly going to change anyone's mind about the movies with my soapbox rant, but suffice to say I'm looking forward to seeing Dawn Treader later today, and I suspect it will be as much fun as the first two films.

PS. I somehow missed that Disney was no longer a part of this franchise, but that explains why this came out so soon after Tangled..... Disney would never try to compete with itself in the children's market.

Please note that Neeson said something uninformed, not offensive (at least, I don't find it offensive, and I'm both a Christian and a fan of the Chron. of Narnia). Don't take it out on the film, which promises to be excellent and, as usual, very faithful to the book.

But if you must miss it and don't mind giving Disney your money via some other means, see Tangled. AWESOME. I can't believe they let these two movies come out so close together: competing with yourself in the narrow children's movie market is a big no-no.

In that case, this guy: http://www.waterfrontartgallery.com/bobgraham.htm should be right up your alley. And if naked people don't bother you, his artistic nudes are amazing, too!
