I've got it in a book here (which won't help anyone wishing to verify anything) but the dark day in #3 corresponds with a massive forest fire in central ontario. ( see http://www.publish.csiro.au/paper/WF05095.htm).

Now - imagine the size of a fire which produces so much smoke that it darkens New England!!! That is absolutely insane and terrifying!!

This list was great! I'd enjoy a part 2 (and 3 and 4...) Thank you so much! :)

I'm working on finding the source so I'll repost in a little bit but I'm almost 100% certain that there was a massive forest fire in either michigan or wisconsin and part of canada around that time - don't quote me yet though.

I always thought that was stupid. Who would want to waste perfectly good LSD? It's not like it's addictive and they'll come back for more. On the other hand, selling heroin patches down by the schoolyard.....

(I have school-age kids and a sense of humor, :P to naysayers)
