Even though you're getting thumbed down by the same bunch that loves to gang up on me, I want to say as a point of clarification that the Republican Party has become whacky beyond recognition. In fact, I would offer my opinion that the Republican Party is the pilonidal abscess on the hindquarters of the free world. The party of narrow minded old southern white men has little appeal outside their last bastion of support. As a group, the Republicans will either have to advance with new ideals, or go the way of the Whigs. (No offense intended against Whig_Kid, WhigKid, or any personalities who frequently claim such a moniker elsewhere.)
