I don't think Absinthe version 2.0 or 2.0.1 makes a difference for cydia. Am i right?

Has anyone else been getting Cydia errors installing stuff? I am getting 500 errors, host unreachable etc. I suppose they are getting hammered?

I just want to mention that I have an iPad2,3 (Verizon 3G), iPod4,1 (4th Gen Touch) and an iPhone3,1 (AT&T iPhone4) and everything worked beautifully! I used Absinthe 2.0 for the iPad & iPod and then 2.0.1 for the iPhone. Did clean restores on both devices before running Absinthe.

All three went of perfectly well! The first time I tried the iPad I didn't do a clean restore first (I just erased docs and settings) and it didn't work. But once I did a clean restore it was golden! It all worked great.

Thanks Pod2G! Gonna donate soon.

So any AT&T Sim card would work right? Micro Sim Obviously.

Going to try that now. Getting the "unplug and try again" deal after reboot.

Does Absinthe 2.0 activate my phone? I am running an AT&T Locked iPhone with H2O wireless. I don't have an AT&T sim card with me. If I restore in iTunes to update this thing ti 5.1.1 will I need that Sim present to make this work? I'm not sure if it'll activate with an H2O Sim card in it after restore.

Could I use any friend's AT&T SIM here at work if needed? I think so...

My definition of tune in: "refresh the living **** out of this blog the entire time".

You are incorrect, sir. You can't fetch blobs for 5.0.1. Unless that phone was on cydia and has the blobs saved (which would be random dumb luck).

You can only save blobs for what apple is signing now which is 5.1.1. Your friend is correct (in a confusing way).

What time is the demonstration scheduled for tomorrow? I am in Eastern Standard Time and plan on trying to tune in.

You're correct. I know that a flash is technically not needed. Since with much of the time a flash is needed when switching CDMA devices "flash" is the word most consumers would associate with "the process of moving the phone from one carrier to another" so I just didn't get technical. When a flash is needed they do that and then add the ESN.

In your case you just need the ESN added. I didn't want to make it too technical. I figured when they went to the cell phone carrier they'd explain the nitty gritty.

But you are correct, sir!
