Jim, your comments scare me. I go up and down with this IHD issue.__If one talks to enough people they can eventually hear what they want to hear...____I'm spreading the word to my friends and relations to keep an eye on the__politicians in our State to see how they support this issue and act accordingly__if they don't support the Veterans best interest.____Sometimes you are maybe too honest, but you were asked the question__and it is what it is...____November is coming and I know how to voice my opinion..
It is my understanding that the house passed HR4899 with Ammendment #4222 (Senator Webb's 60 day delay) on July 1st, 2010.
If I have misinformation please let me know. If the next step takes up to 90 days (OMB) and then a 60 delay, we may know something by the 1st of December...
I'm not sure by what you mean when you state, "He can't win" in refference to Jimm Web trying to put a hold or delay
on the three new presupmtive agent orange diseases for VA benefits.
Should I take this to mean that the three new ones will eventually be included and final rules passes.
I wonder about it every day...
The system will be used by the three new presumptive agent orange diseases, that is a bit presumptive isn't it? We have no final rules and Sen. Webb has payment on hold for 60 days if we do get as far as new rules. Anyone in the know have a guess what the outcome for new presumptives? I wrote my cong. rep. and got a letter back and after reading it, it didn't tell me anything I didn't know and I have no idea what his position is on it, but thanks for responding to my letter...
It would be nice to get an update as to where the house is on passage of Webbs review. Vets that have been waiting for a long time could use some encouragement at this time....
I thought sleep studies were a way to prove/diagnose sleep disorders. I don't think one can fake those things with all the monitors they place on you. Isn't SP often a secondary effect of some other medical problem besides overweight?
As a Viet Nam vet who could be impacted by these new presumtives, I'm disappointed to say the least by further delays. I don't undrstand Sen Webb's issue (s) with the new rules. Is he against the "boots on ground" policy previously applied, the asociation of any or all three new diseases with Agent Orange or is something all together different. What argument has he made to get support for the review, anyone with information about this could post and be greatly appreciated. Good luck to all the vets who have been hanging on for so long...
