I've heard many times over the years from my parents about the patriotism of the 1940's. Seems that there was a collective effort to support the country during one of the toughest times. Children sent in pennies, saved the tin wrappers from gum, went without., etc. Our national debt and the interest we now owe (and will continue to owe compounded daily) is staggering. It frightens me. I would like to see a resurgence of the1940's sort of patriotism and collective effort put forth today to attack the national debt. I think the people of this country need to come up with creative solutions---fundraisers, Debt-Aid concerts, conservation ideas that will save gov or citizens money, ways to get children to rally around and participate in the project, try to get people to mae personal sacrifices in order to contribute to a larger, national goal.

GLENN: Please have a Constitutional Lawyer on your show to discuss this latest proposed threat to our rights. Everyone needs to wake up and see that it could be YOUR salary affected. First it will be the bankers and the auto workers, but then it will reach much further. Anyone who works in a job that is touched by governmental money would be potential targets of this legislations. White collar and blue collar alike. With large or small paychecks. Gov hands its hands in everything...healthcare, science and med research, manufacturing, the arts, museums, sports, construction, energy.........do you want YOUR paycheck determined by the government?

Serious questions: What are the legal steps that citizens can take to bring a class action lawsuit against our government? We should be threatening to do so at the Tea Parties if we have a legal leg to stand on. Also, what is the legal definition of Treason, and can we pursue it on Frank and Dodd, if not others?
