Yeah, I meant before the NME stuff....given its publication date of 1997, it likely took place between A Wizard Abroad (1993) and A Wizard's Dilemna (2001). How that fits in with the timeline shift from the NME, I dunno :)
They were never after....they’re in the middle of YW somewhere, though I don’t remember the exact placement. In one of the YW books, Nita casually mentions one of the big events of this book as having happened...I think in conversation with her dad. Wait, Entenmann’s stuff is in every grocery store in the NY/NJ area....how can you miss it? LOL
Thanks. :) I was wondering because, if vague memory serves, events of the first FW book get mentioned in the next YW book.
I think it's a pool/billiards reference. I think "putting English on it" has something to do with adding spin to the cue ball.
I don't have my copy handy but that sounds about right.
I don't always have a chance to read the comments here, so I may have missed this....is Mark reading the Feline Wizards books at some point too?
If I remember correctly, the UK edition is the original. I remember back when it was the newest book I had to special order it from Amazon UK since it wasn't available in the US.
I don't know if it's changed or not since then, but when I was a newly out college student in the mid-late 90's (coincidentally going to a college the next town over from where Nita and Kit live), I emailed Duane and asked her if Tom and Carl were a couple. Her response was something like "well I've always thought so."
I remember doing one of my many rereads in college and realizing that Nita lived only a few miles from the campus I was sitting on. :)
