The Masters of Evil seem to be making a trident gesture with both hands- trident or pitchfork of Lucifer presumably. Kirby had a depth of knowledge about the kooky side, just like Stan.

Perc never struck me as gay, more as an alter ego of Stan Lee in fact!

Facebook does nothing. Hate sites thrive.

Best advice if it reaches movie story levels is hire a reputable private eye firm to log all the illegal activity. It will still take a long time to get enough to force a cop to act, lazy bastards that they are.

It's almost like there was a secret Pulp Era at Marvel in the 1960s, from the earliest years through to when the pattern was set and the goofiest stuff gives way to set pieces and standardised soap operas...

The early stories have much more of a pulp feel- wonky geography, even wonkier science, and a definite feel that Stan in particular is not just mining the golden age of comics but actually trying to resurrect childhood favourites with sense of breathless wonder.

Even the fruitcake villains, some of whom really are just obsessive compulsives in capes whose only superpower is an inability to think things through, lower the stakes but increase the humour and enjoyment.
