Mel, I agree w/ you about the bad apples. Most of them are fine hard working people. As far as the price of a house, I don't recall seeing the prices of houses falling over the last few years as more illegals came here to build them. I do however see the cost of healthcare, schools and the cost and need for more gov't services on the rise since they have been flooding in. I don't dislike the people like some on here seem to indicate, I dislike the fact that they are milking the country dry. 20 million people putting holes in the bucket without helping to fill it up. As far as crying about illegals because we were all in the same boat- my ancestors came through Ellis Island, were registered with the U.S. Gov't as being here. Went to school to become a U.S. citizen and learn to speak english and proud to be a legal citizen. Refused to speak Greek because they were in America and wanted to be American. There is a huge difference b/w that and just coming here to take advantage of what we have to offer them for free.

Remember that we cannot PARTLY support our Constitution. It is all or nothing. Almost all of Washington is to blame for the mess we are in...and we are as well...we let it happen. Bush was not a good President and Congress has been an even worse failure. Always look to understand the other sides arguments....don't just disregard them....RESEARCH.

Republicans and Democrats rarely vote on our Constitution anymore...yet some of us think this is ok because it aligns with our own personal views. We CANNOT do this. We CANNOT half ass this!! If you feel that you cannot fully support our Constitution and the freedoms it gives to the individual...then we will NOT SUCCEED.

It is so important that we do this!

Unite UNDER the Constitution!! DO NOT UNITE UNDER A POLITICIAN THAT WILL TRY TO USE US..AND THIS SITE...FOR THEIR OWN PERSONAL GAIN. Do not support someone who flip flops. Do not support large government. Republicans are not trying to make government smaller...at the minimum they try to keep it the same. Tax cuts is NOT smaller government....A flat or far tax IS NOT smaller government!!!!

Democracy is not stated in the Constitution once!! This country was meant to be a Republic..a Democratic Republic!!
The states should have ultimate power...NOT the federal government.

We cannot trample on others rights and beliefs because it goes against how we think others should live. It's all about the rights to the individual...to ALL of us....no matter what we believe...as long as it doesn't infringe on the rights of others.

Please people....do not waver.....do not let a politician try to take advantage of this great site...and us....if we do...then we lose...we give in to the same wrongs that have brought us to where we are today.

Read the Constitution...study it.....live by it. Although many people have different religious beliefs and different ideas on life in general...we CAN ALL LIVE UNDER THE CONSTITUTION. We just have to really LIVE BY IT OURSELVES.

Don't let political parties affect your judgment. Research everything you hear on television!! EVERYTHING. Look for the truth.

Sharon, that is why we have representatives. They are supposed to represent our thoughts and ideas for us. That is why it is so critical to choose a representative that does in fact represent the way you feel. He/ She is supposed to be your voice in D.C. when these issues are voted upon. I like your thought though. Maybe with todays technology, we will soon be able to vote online for serios issues.

The very fact that they are here illegally is in itself a crime. It is a felony to be in this country illegally, hence the term. We do not need for them to jaywalk or commit murder to deport them. As soon as they crossed the border they committed a crime which warrants action on our part. We have laws for a reason, but for some unknown reason ,we choose to not uphold them. Except for some local sherriffs, but as soon as they do, Acorn has them investigated. Shouldn't our Gov't be standing behind the officers that are doing their job instead of intimidating them?

You have just witnessed it when you you came on this site with a bad attitude right off the bat. Well Jack, I am not in favor of gun control, but you make a good point about the nuclear weapon. That is something I never thought about. Maybe far fetched but a valid point. I guess it may be a question of where to draw the line. As far as Obama goes, it is very well known that George Soros was and is a major financial contributor to BO and has a huge reputation for disarming citizens. So....where do you think we draw the line?
