I saw a new report this morning, at 4:45ish, which gave me the impression Katie Couric was demonizing the soldiers. She was covering sexual assault/harassment of female soldiers. I am a little concerned she is making the men and women who risk their lives for our safety look like the bad guys. Does that seem wrong to anyone else?
I live in a small town in CT and 1 of my favorite things to do is go to a local farm and pick fruits and veggies. There are many people who do not have an such an advantage, but they do have access to farmers markets. Small business farmers are not the problem, they take pride in their product and would be embarrassed to sell tainted food. Putting an industry, like small independent farms through such stringent regulations is absurd. What happens to people that have gardens, are they going to be inspected and fine too? As a small business owner in the marine industry, I understand over regulation by the government. Our state has decided the marine industry can be their cash cow, trying to implement regulations that are costly and almost unachievable. I know we are in a cash crunch, but bankrupting an industry is not the way to resolve the problem.
