With a guest suite you have to remember it's not YOUR privacy at stake, but your guests' - when you invite guests into your home, you really do want them to be as comfortable as possible. Even if you're OK with it, chances are your guests could be uncomfortable. I can't help thinking how embarrassed my poor in-laws would be, watching (and hearing, and let's face it ... smelling) each other's personal business going on, even after 50 years of marriage! But I guess that explains the Febreze flameless candle on the nightstand!

Too funny Trish, maybe the HGTV designers will put an outhouse in the 2011 Dream Home! With a composting feature to up the green factor, of course. We put a clear glass shower enclosure in our master bath, I love the look of it and it's easy to clean, BUT it is inside a room with four walls and a locking door! Even if the casita wall was opaque, I can also imagine mother-in-law feeling a little inhibited when every sound (not to mention smell!) travels straight into the bedroom!
Thanks, Peter - I'm all for following the newest trends, but that's one trend my mother in law won't be following any time soon!
Edie, I just posted this in a different forum, I'll be interested to see how many people agree with us! I just can't believe someone thought a glass wall was a good idea, then nobody tried to change their mind before it was built!
