You are absolutely correct. Some of us are great thinkers and idea generators and some of us are great builders of the ideas great thinkers generate. A return to apprenticeships for those who would rather work w/ their hands would give an opportunity to many individuals who are not in love w/ academia and a chance for people to give back real world experience to another generation.

All of those social family problems would be eliminated in one generation if there were only real consequences for those individuals who just dont pull there weight. Fathers who abandon their children should be forced to pay a decent amount of support or face jail or an even better alternative would be some kind of public posting so that they themselves could not get employment. And no welfare for anyone who refuses to get an education and a job. Even a minimum wage job at Mcdonalds can turn into a very lucrative career if a person would only apply themselves and return the stigma of being an unwed mother. My opinion is that there is no reason today to become pregnant if you do not want to and I have had many intelligent woman agree w/ me on this. Take away the rewards for failure and you solve the problem.

The sad fact is that if you have no mentors or caring people in your life you will have a very hard time succeeding. The other sad fact is that in a society where all are being driven by a liberal agenda to be equal, and I am talking economically , not human rights, the only way to accomplish that is to take from the achievers and give to the underachievers. Sadly, we have become a country so guilt ridden by our own success that we have forgotten the basic tennant that not everyone can win in the game. All the people can not be helped all the time and some people cant be helped at all. Its just the way it is and no matter how hard you try or how noble you think you are it just aint gonna happen.

You dont need to abuse children to teach them how to behave properly. Asminor as it may seem I cant tolerate a screaming child in a restaurant. How did my wife and I teach our children about this. Well, when one of the children acted out in the eatery, one of us would take them out to the car and sit w/ them until the rest of the family finished their dinner in peace, along w/ the rest of the other patrons. Which ever one of us went to the car, the other brought dinner out in a go box and it was eaten at home. The obnoxious child however, got nothing. Sound mean, it only takes one time and when we were all younger , our children include, people would compliment us on how well behaved our children were and now they are all very successful adult in their own rights. Point is, there hsas to be consequences for bad behavior and it doesnt do your self esteem any good to become an adult who feels totally entitled and cant keep a job because of a total lack of social skills.

Bigger government and more taxes and regulation does not and has never worked anywhere. Name one instance in history where it has worked and then explain to me how you can say the wealth has been inadvertently been distributed in a country where any body walking the street can get free education, and dont say thats not true, just walk into a Goodwill career center in your community and see how many people will jump to help anyone wiling to put forth the effort, and then explain to me why I, as a person who has worked since I was 12 years old to get what I have, I am now 51 by the by, and have anybody take what is mine and give it to any body else. The socialist, no, the Fascist Agenda going on in this country today will surely fail one way or the other as groups like this always end up devouring themselves.

In my home town of Detroit, They thought it would instill pride of ownership and community to have low to no income people own their own home. The median price of a home in Detroit is about 8500.00 now and there are very nice houses that have been on the market for five years. When you say we should check our sources i would suggest to you that you be more open with your own information. Bush or Obama can not do anything but make suggestions w/ out the congress and house behind them and it has been the Dems in the majority throughout the Bush years, so you can ping George all you want but it is in fact the Democrats who voted all this in and who are responsible for the state of our country today.

I agree w/ you. Cant get there without making them hurt. they dont care how many protests there are or how many letters you send. If they did care this would not be happening at all. There is no right to vote. Not in our constitution nor in any of our laws. It is a misnomer and, if you think the system is not already corrupted think of this. TAX cuts or outright giveaways to people who dont even have a job. The left screaming they want to help the WORKING MAN by raising the minimum wage when in fact it is the UNION wage minimum that is raised each time minimum wage increases, and to say you are helping the working man as if those of us who dont have a tool in our hand other than a pen are at parties all day, and then to say that these people will vote for anything that would sensibly improve all of our lives if it means they might actually have to work and take responsibility for themselves. Gees.I I just cant stand it. We have people all over the country telling us how our funny money debt is going to save us. The president is cowtowing to the very people that have rendered support to destruction and attacks on our own soil, Its going down the tubes people, and still the masses love him. You tell me how the present system serves any rational purpose and then tell me that you would go out on the street and find an unemployed, make that never employed person to make your financial and personal decisions for your family or, better yet, a person who doesnt even have citizenship in this country.??
