I wouldn't call it a closed beta either. If it's anything like Gmail in 2005, then it's probably not that hard to get an invite (can't say the same for Google Plus though). It's kind of open, but it's not. I'm not sure how else to describe it.

I wish I could help but I really don't know how. I have no contacts at T3, and they don't even have a FAQ section and forum for non-members. So your best option is to post your problem on their facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/HellgateGlobal. 3 days to spare before OBT, good luck!

Not sure if this is your problem, but I notice you have to click on the "check availability" button after you enter your email (it doesn't automatically check your email's availability when you click "done"). That got me once when I was signing up for them. But if that's not it, then you probably need to create a new email account.
