Glen, I am a big fan of yours and am glad to see so many people of like mind still in this Country. I am very happy to see something is finally being done (physically), and am proud once again of America.
One thing though, keeps bothering me: Term Limits.

I am dismayed that so many of your followers think this is the answer. Term Limits represent exactly the oppisite of a Free Society. FREE stands for: Freedom (requires) Responsibility Education and Equity.

Term Limits remove ALL of these. Term Limits not only re,ove accountability from the Politician, but the Voter does not have to be responsible or educated. A politician can hoodwink his way in, make a deal with the devil and leave before the Voter even knows what hit him. Granted we have some lifer idiots in Congress, but we also have a few very good ones. The answer isn't Term Limit them, it is EDUCATE the public!!!!

Thanks for the opportunity to vent, and God Bless America!

1. No Term Limits - instead let's TEACH the voters what to vote for!
2. American History should be required in 6th THROUGH 11th grades (every grade in between)
3. Philosophy and Econimics should be required in 9th through 12th grade
4. Public Schools required reading list should include "Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal" and "Atlas Shrugged" .
5. School vouchers
7. By LAW the Military and associated defense spending should be 70% of the budget, after all THAT is the purpose of the Government! (this doesn't mean spend more on defense, it means spend LESS on Socialism)
8. Remove the Government from Charity spending. Including any kind of Grant money

Term Limits sounds good, but it has the oppisite effect of what we are looking for. The Presidential Term Limit was enacted to get FDR out of office. Granted, FDR did more damage to this Country than possibly any other, it is not the right answer.

If a Congressman knows he can only serve for a specified, realitively short period, he can be bought much easier. He is not concerned about his career in government, but his career AFTER he gets out - a means to an end. Unscrupulous companies can buy their way in much easier.

The answer is: EDUCATION! Not government backed public schools, but you and me spreading the word. Tea Parties and 912 Project Meetings. We must take back our Country the right way, not through force, through the mind. Otherwise we will eventually end up right back where we are: ignorant people voting for ignorant reasons.

Think, Teach, Vote.

I could not disagree more! Term limits have the oppisite effect of what you are looking for, and are arguably un-Constitutional.
First of all, Term Limits take the responsibility off of the people. We must educate the people so they will know why certain individuals should be kicked out. If we keep voting them in, we deserve them.
Secondly, when a politician knows he cannot run again, he goes to bed with a company that is going to hire him when he gets out - he has no accountability to the people any longer!

Education is the answer (not from the government, from us), not term limits!

I think "The 912 Project" says it all. If someone does not know what it is, they will google it...

On the issue of Medical costs; it is the government that has caused the cost to be so high and the service declining. Simple supply and demand principles. The government causes an artificial demand by using tax (my) money to pay for illegal aliens, and people who would rather buy big screen tv's than pay for their own health care.

I have a 22 year old son working part time at Home Depot (has a BA, but we live in MI) who pays $100.00 per Month for his own Health Care!
If the goverment would get out of health care completely, the cost would go down and the people would have to be responsible. They might buy it before they buy their next picture snapping, internet browsing, text messaging, latest technological advanced personal communication device, or pay $100.00 per Month for HD Cable with 700 channels. If they really still cannot afford it, they might turn to their extended family...remember those days...for help.

I am happy to see so many people upset with what is going on, and I hope we can have an impact - not sure we can.
God Bless America!
