I think he's been working out his abnormal emotional attachments, quietly in his own mind, so that he can let them go in his own way. I told him if he doesn't part with something I'm going to have garage sale while he's at work. Snap On Tools 1 dollar each. Rusty Jeep 10 cents. Old Laser disc player in large cabinet FREE. Engine looking things FREE.

I think he's been giving some thought to cleaning things up. I would love to give him a nice organized garage with shelves and work benches. What he really needs is a shop or a new hobby.

Ooooops I logged in to my alter ego account to vote for Honolulu, and forgot to log out. LOL.

I haven't really heard much. I have been communicating with Abby from the Message Boards. I don't know if she can help me or not though. I think Chad P might be able to help, if only he could hear my cries for help.

Other than not wanting to confuse people and get them thinking there are two different cami's, I am beginning to accept my special Dream Home name. I almost even like it, I think I just like it 'cause it's colorful though. I've never thought people should have two ID's and now I find myself exactly in that situation, so for that reason I guess I really just need My Dream Home name cami restored to me, so I can let 2cami go away peacefully without incident... I don't know I might decide I like her too much.

It's funny how some people live. I have about 3 good pairs of shoes at any given time. Flip flops, Sunday shoes, and tennis shoes.. Ok I have a pair of white sandals that are on their way to the trash, I just can't part with them yet. My husband has three too. Boots, Sunday shoes, and tennis shoes. He refuses to buy new Sunday shoes, because he bought them in New Zealand and they are supposed to last forever (so he says), he has been wearing them for 26 years (don't worry they don't stink). If anyone comes across a pair of Nomads let me know, maybe I can switch them when he isn't looking. I've already searched the internet, I just can't find any. They used to have 3 or 4 inch rubber soles, now he might have 1 1/2 inches left. It's a source of contention and humor around here.

James you should be careful about writing your real full names on the blog. You can be found with the information you just provided. You could be found by someone who would want to harass you or hurt you.
I don't believe we have those kind of people lurking around on these blogs, but in general, using a fake name is good internet safety.

I understand how you feel about wanting something for someone you love. I understand for the want of a home of your own. Keep in mind that although the house is free if you won, over $100,000.00 dollars will need to be paid as income tax. If you were to win and sell though, you may have enough money left over after taxes to buy a home of your own.

Sorry to hear about your dog, I'm glad he was found and doing better.

I have a boy who has a low IQ and has been in the same class as down syndrome kids. I have never met a person with down syndrome that didn't have special qualities that if they were tested for on an IQ test, they would be at genius levels. There are some people that are very intelligent and have high academic IQ's but would fail miserabley at that same test.. My boy is pretty sweet and tries to be good and make good decisions but doesn't always understand the consequences of some decisions, but he is often my best behaved out of my five children. He has his moments of frustration though, where he can't be reasoned with.

That is a pretty darn good garage, it sure puts mine to shame.

Thank you so much Kathy. That is a pretty nice garage already, certainly better than mine. It seems pretty deep too.

I'm surprised to hear any disapointment about this home, I think it's one of the best Scripps has given away. The cash value of the home isn't as much as the other homes, but if you're looking for an adventure and a place to live and call home, this home is it. If I had the money and was ready to move, I would be the first one standing in line to make an offer.

This may very well be the first Scripps giveaway home that the winner will want to keep long term. I would like to see that. I would also like to see more remodels, especially with the Green Home.

Looking at the pics of the garage again, I noticed those garden tools in the garbage can are clearly marked (Josh) so I guess he's taking them with him. Darn there is a lot a person would have to pack up to drive clear across country to their new home. LOL.

How is your post Labor Day, Day going? Are you wondering when the next Holiday will come along and give you that much needed extra day of rest from your daily grind.. I feel for you, 'cause unless you work at the bank or school, you may not get one until Veterans Day, and even some have to work on that day. Hang in there and keep dreaming about the Dream Home it seems to help make those long stretches between extra days off, less stressful.

I should also mention those who long to get back into the daily grind, and probably wanting to work every Holiday. The Dream helps to ease that heavy burden too. Just keep hitting the pavement, to keep your dreams in check. We do have to maintain some semblance of reality when dreaming.

I searched around the site last night for over an hour just trying to figure out if there was a double car garage on the other side of the house. Only saw one pic on this whole site of the double garage doors. So I assumed that yes there is actually a 2 car garage and 1 car garage. What is it that they don't want us to see in the double garage? It is pretty nice looking on the outside of the double garage, I can't imagine what they could be hiding on the inside.

Sometimes you just have to let go and let Mr. Fate and Miss. Lady Luck decide. I'm thinking if you win the Dream Home you can buy your own Blog Cabin or the Green Home of your choice in an area that's less expensive. ____I'm a fan of the Blog Cabin as far as livin goes. But would welcome a win of anything at this point.
