Sounds like Sullivan is actually putting bids in for several players, so say we agree three or four deals then we could end up doing what the Porto and Monaco people did to us and pull out at the last minute !

Mc Carthy didn't turn us down previously. Paul Aldridge agreed a deal with FC Porto. The club hired a private jet for McCarthy to fly over for a medical and then Porto's Chairman , renowned for being awkward apparently did the dirty on us and pulled out of the agreed deal.
Similar thing happened with Adebayour too.
