Tomorrow morning, I'm going to turn off Fox News, and shut down the computer. Not listening to any political talk, or check the usual websites... Not even checking my email. I may have the Macy's Day Parade on, just to listen to as I bake, boil and saute all the goodies stacked in the fridge. We'll have a peaceful day. Of course it won't be as big as when we traveled to spend Thanksgiving with my grandparents. Most years there would be at least 45, maybe 50 of us stuffed into that little house. Kids ate at makeshift tables. Everyone brought something, pies, cakes, or that special casserole. There were always at least two turkeys. Afterwards the men sat around stuffed like those turkeys while the women cleared away the chaos left behind. The kids played. It was always a good day. I miss those times. But still, whether we eat baloney sandwiches and moon pies or a big feast, I'm Thankful for my family's health and happiness. Thankful for the little things that happen every day that make life interesting. I'm Thankful and Grateful to live in this country. There are good people in this nation on both the right and left. Tomorrow let us all pray for our country, and each other.
Yeah, well the younger generation has had it easier. Some are clueless, barely educated and feel as if everything should be handed to them without earning it. There are good kids out there as well. These are the ones that give us hope that our future is safe. With them in control we'll continue on as a free nation. It's our job to help them along.
As for the OWS? They'll go away soon.
I can't remember the last time I watched 60 Minutes. Once upon a time they were very good journalists.
There was a great SNL skit Martin Short did as a shady exec being interviewed on 60 Minutes by Mike Wallace.. ..the cast member who played him escapes me, but it was hilarious. I trusted CBS News and loved SNL years ago. I don't know how both shows keep plugging along.
Anytime Obama speaks I fall asleep, unless I switch the channel.
I've never been rich and wouldn't know what it's like to not worry about getting the bills paid. But, I don't blame anyone for my own personal situation. I don't want redistribution of the wealth. That's theft. It's a shame we have an adminstration in this country that promotes class warfare. Nov 2012 can't get here soon enough.
Exactly my point.. There is no comparison. Tea Party, peaceful, patriotic, no arrests. OWS, violent, socialist, and arrests in nearly every city where they are protesting.
A safer place would be to go back to where ever they came from. Go back home... Get off the streets and out of the park. What amazes me is that these people bring their children to the protests. They're raising a whole new generation of stoners. Our future is ...... Idiocracy
The MSM would never report that.. OWS is exactly what the MSM claimed to the Tea Party to be. Never mind that there is actual video of OWS committing various crimes. According to the MSM they are peaceful happy people. God Bless Them, Nancy Pelosi said.
After those eye searing photos, my appetite has gone... There is no way a comparison between the tea party rallies and the OWS can be made. There's not much red, white and blue in those photos.I bet you won't hear any patriotic speech there. You won't see people picking up garbage and leaving the area better than it was before the event. Tea Party would never infringe on the rights of others. You would never see anyone from the Tea Party attack the police or each other. Most of all, you'd never see a Tea Party person wearing ugly pink feathers around their neck.
