I sat beside a white woman on a recent flight to New York who was visiting her daughter who had recently converted to Islam. She knew by the look on my face what I was thinking. 1 1/2 hours later and 2 glasses of wine, I had gotten her to open her eyes a bit and to admit that despite her bravado, she was heart-broken and disappointed. Why did she convert?....because she was raised as an athiest and wanted to belong somewhere. This time I have to agree with Freud and blame mother.

My comment was deleted when I replied to you because I used the N-word to describe what Michael Richards said and that he was vilified and forced to apologize. I guess we cannot even use that word to describe what someone ELSE said! The PC police monitor this blog it seems.

I was in Jordan/Egypt in 1997 and 2003. Israel was fabulous, very modern and thriving country. Greece/Turkey were okay, but still backward in many ways. I do not have a blog since I would not be able to post what I think of most of the countries that I visited without being harrassed or called a racist.
