Others on this site are correct about you. I have no intention of explaining anything else to you as it's obvious you don't care (as you've stated). So I'll not tell you what or how things are done.

I feel good about helping others I'm sure you feel good about, well something.

Relative to your comment early "So, I win"! I'm sure it won't be long before you to start talking about tiger's blood, warlocks and other Sheenisms. Oh my!!

We do track who gets out boxes of food so you're wrong, again. So now you're saying the Police are helping the crooks? Get some help. And yet again you're way off point relative to my original post.

SwissBank I was just going to let you go away and not respond but, here I go. You are so off the subject of my original post. I wanted to make sure that people knew there was a difference between the two organizations.

Instead you tried to make me out to be a a board member for personal gain....Here is your original post "How much was your salary? It seems these organizations are just set up so that the top layer of management will have a job."

Since I told you we are a volunteer board you've gone off on tangents trying to use this as a bully pulpit. No doubt you don't care about much. I pity your accountant having to deal with you but hopefully it's only once a year.

As we reach out to people that have donated in the past I'm fairly confident we've not contacted you based on your comments. Frankly, I do donate to this organization, both money and time and other organizations. If we have solicited and you wish us to stop then call us and tell us to stop instead of stewing in a pot of hate.

The internet is a great tool. Unfortunately there's a down side. Studies have shown little people with little thoughts like to express themselves on the internet. You "sir" appear to be one of those with almost 4,000 posts to this board alone!

Who asked about "fairness"? Again you're trying to muddy the waters.

No we're not giving an incentive for people not to work. I'll bet you don't know the systems in place to make sure folks aren't gaming the programs do you. We give a box of food to a family or allow them to "shop" with us no more than 4 times a year. That's a real incentive not to work isn't it?

Sir, you don't have a clue in this area and until you know more keep you fingers off the keyboard.

I'd laugh if that was funny. These are volunteer positions so don't even try to go there. Just so you can understand board members at the Portland Police Sunshine DIVISION are paid ZERO. We buy our own meals during our board meetings. It seems you talk before thinking or researching.

I'm guessing you've never been to our facility. Please call to get a tour. It's bare bones, no heat in the warehouse, the furniture is donated, etc.

That's not the point of Portland75's post. It's so the Sunshine DIVISION is not painted with the same brush that the Sunshine PANTRY is being painted with.

They are two different organizations.

The Portland Police Sunshine DIVISION has been putting out food barrels for decades. I hope there is no confusion that these are two DIFFERENT ORGANIZATIONS and NOT affiliated with each other.

I am a former Board Chairman of the Portland Police Sunshine DIVISION. I want to point out that the Sunshine DIVISION is not affiliated with the Sunshine PANTRY.

Unfortunately because of the name similarities we are getting emails and voice mails indicating support will be withheld because of this issue. Please be assured and tell your friends these two operations are not affiliated. The DIVISION has been helping those in need for 83 years with food and clothing out of our North PORTLAND warehouse and Portland Police Precincts.

I think KATU needs to get the word out also as the Sunshine DIVISION is an innocent party. Thank You.
