It seems folder 2 and 3 are meaning less. (maybe the img3 files will be needed anyway)
I'll keep it all.
Also, same effect could be archived during only DFU restore which generates both the IBEC and IBSS.
the iBEC.n88ap.RELEASE.dfu is the same in both DFU and regular restore.
seems regular restore is pointless. the DFU is enough and generates both files.

During the restore of each (regular restore and DFU restore) the temp folder poped 3 times under different names:
1. Per2A07.tmp (contains some files)
2. Per5202.tmp (same files as above.. )
3. Per866B.tmp (contains alot img3 files in some sub dir)
I kept the 6 copies of the tmp.. what to do with that?
Regards.

for future firmware updates, will we need to reGenerate those files or this is a one time job?

My worries are they might block the iBoot anyway by the release of iPhone firmware 3.0.1 and then no one will be able to unlock.
My 3Gs is simfree so I use it already but still want the JB done!
