whokebe The Vancouver PD doesn't deal with the amount of mayhem Seattle deals with on a continual basis. Vancouver doesn't have a diverse population to the extent Seattle does where (not talking to the police is considered the norm and to be "cool) This crime isn't even 24 hours old and you make it sound like SPD has moved onto another case. Takes a lot of time to get suspect information, deal with shaken relatives, search for possible business cameras that may of been rolling and caught the crime or suspects on tape. (many times they need a court order approved in order to make someone turn something over) Like Lancer said you obviously have all the answers so please go show us all how it's done.

The fire department has to do a careful review of everything before taking action. If they fire him without cause or due process he could sue the city for way more then what it's worth. He ruined his own career no matter what happens.

I think I heard that if a jaywalker gets struck and killed by a passing car while in the act of jaywalking that the jaywalker will get written a ticket so as to prove the car had the right of way. So this would protect the driver from a lawsuit brought on my the jaywalker's family. Not sure if that is true but some pedestrians are too busy doing facebook updates instead of being careful. Surprised more are not killed.

Curious if the shooter was male or female. Since the detectives are using the word "jealousy" and didn't witnesses report hearing two women having a argument? What ever the case this young man got hit up to seven times which means someone unloaded their gun towards him. I totally understand why he drove away from the scene instead of staying put. If someone shoots at you that many times I wouldn't wanna stay put either.
