If McGinn were to some how keep his job as Mayor here is what a future would look like.

Press release 7-20-14 Due to the lack of revenue collected from the $12 an hour parking rates in downtown Seattle the Mayor has decided to make East Marginal Way, Elliot ave, I-5, I-90 and Aurora ave Bicycles only since no cars currenly are using these roads to visit Seattle. All ferrys servicing Seattle will now be bicycles only and any sounder or amtrack service coming to Seattle must be outfitted with extra bicycle storage. Since the departure of Nordstroms, Macys and the Pike Place market this existing land will now be turned into the world's largest velodrome which will attract cyclists from all over the world. With the new $10 park fee all the money generated by visiting Discovery, Kerry, Gas work and Volunteer park will be restributed among the Cascade Bicycle Club who will form a committee to replace outgoing Seattle transportation czar David Hiller who was making $95,000 a year.

When you have news stations like KOMO running a anti police story every week and local groups saying the police were targeting them even though they are the ones comitting the violence it's no wonder things have got out of hand. This city and the Mayor have handcuffed their own police department and basically let it be known that thugs and bad guys can do what they want.

Gangs/bad guys are not stupid. They know they can steal cars, assault people and run from the law when they want. The police have a no pursuit policy in this city now (unless they are chasing someone who just shot someone or a bank robbery suspect who used a weapon etc) The bad guys know all this, the young criminals know they can cause mayhem and not be charged as adults. The same people who complained about police being heavy handed are now wondering why crime is up. Welcome to your own mess.

Wondering if John Riffe was the one the witnesses feared the most since he recently died (was he ill or near death) therefore making the fear of telling investigators the info they needed that much easier. Just guessing it was a relative of these evil men who came forward.

LKS so you believe a convicted criminal with an extensive violent history over a man who got a good close up look at the man who attempted to murder him? Not to mention other witnesses who fear for their lives due to this mans violent past and behaviour. Even if the victim did cut this guy off it doesn't give the suspect reason for being judge and jury and dealing out his punishment. Where is Charles Bronson when we need him.

Landshark this man (Monetti) was with two other men who robbed two different men using a machete and gun. This call was so serious 16 officers responded to this priority one call. They were looking for suspects when they encountered three men (Monetti) being one of them. Knowing there were weapons unaccounted for the video you saw in question was at that point. Monetti was not following commands while his two buddies were. Yes they swore at him, yes they used a slur and yes these officers were scared for their own safety. Monetti got off because they didn't find a weapon on him and he agreed to testify against the others to get full immunity from any charges. He is a punk who in 11-13 years will be in trouble when his to buddies get out of jail.

The City of Seattle just paid a MS-13 gang member who helped rob two people using a machete and a gun $150,000 for getting spoken to badly by SPD. Our Mayor names a day in honor of a woodcarver who had a long violent criminal past and had previously threatened police officers. Our Mayor also has aplogized to protestors who got pepper sprayed after throwing Bottles at the police and refusing to quit blocking traffic......and now a King County judge lets a guy walk free who attempted to murder someone by shooting them between the eyes even though he was identified as the shooter by three people and has an extensive criminal past.

And yet people are scratching their heads wondering why the crime rates are so high right now.

This guy was with two other thugs who were using a machete and a gun to rob people when he was stopped. The police at the point in the video were still looking for weapons and Mr. Monetti a MS 13 gang member was not complying with orders. Mr. Monetti testified against Hector and Pedro (the two other gang bangin thugs) but only after he was granted full transactional and testimonal immunity in exchange for his testimony. Both men were convicted of first degree robbery with a deadly weapon and were sentenced to 11 and 13 years

I hope he uses his money on travel and disguises because when those two other men get out of jail guess who is gonna be in hiding..
