I don't understand why everyone is getting so upset about this and blaming this all on the teacher. When I was in high school, about 8 years ago, there were a girls that flirted endlessly with teachers. So it's not just the teachers fault. IF he raped her or something along those lines, the should have the crap beat out of him, but if she is of age, and it was consentual (sp?) let it be...

Agreed! Maybe this will wake a few people up and change the hours so you guys aren't put in that position anymore. Even if it's changed to 12-18 hour shifts. 24 is just too much.

Can I ask a question.. I am not sure what the law is up here, but like I said earlier I used to work in Georgia and one unit was dispatched to a MVA and they were bringing a trauma patient in to us, when they were crossing the intersection (their light was red, but everyone who had common sense stopped to let them through) and a person came through the intersection and t-boned the ambulance. The driver of the car was not ticketed or fined, the Medic who was driving the ambulance was cited with running a red light. To make matters worse, the patient coded while they were waiting on another ambulance to come get him. Luckily, he was stabalized and is doing great now.
My thing is.. and maybe it's just me...
If it's the law to STOP and GET OUT OF THE WAY for ambulances, why in the heck was the medic ticketed? It's just stupid. He was trying to get to the hospital obviously. Doesn't make any sense to me.
