50 weeks ago @ Big Journalism - If our elected public servants spent more time doing their jobs, less time posing and flexing for the camera, maybe we'd have a budget by now. Maybe we'd even have a balanced budget, but that's probably too much to expect.

Yes, he's a member of an august legislative body. Yes, his actions should reflect a higher standard due to his influence and the power entrusted to him through his constituency. But though I understand the public interest in this story, I must wonder... While we're all slavering over Mr. Weiner (sorry, still can't say that and keep a straight face) what else is going on that needs to have our rapt attention? What else is going on in D.C. that bears our scrutiny more than some dimwit who likes to preen and obviously doesn't have sense enough not to take personal pics with identifying photos in the background. Honestly, his constituents should send him packing just for that sheer stupidity alone.
