Really. Check it out again, and see Nic Cage lose his mind for real, not from the realization that he's in another movie destined for the gas station rack. That film shows the New York I remember, loved, and feared winding up dead in all at the same time. Everyone in it is out of their fucking mind and I love it! Truly, this is Scorsese's love letter to the end of and era and the effect it had on its inhabitants.

I DON'T want to get used to him doing ANYTHING. He is cinematic cancer and there is no cure for him.
