Obedience is definitely tough, but my own thought is it's not the "yes" which is hard, but maintaining it through the details which makes it a day to day journey.

Yes. I believe this would definitely be the work of familiar spirits which have been allowed access to our lives in one form or another. What we need to remember is the spiritual armor God has provided for us against such attacks, stand firm in the faith and authority of Jesus, and take every thought captive, tearing down those strongholds and allowing God's healing word to replace those hurts, failures, and feelings of inadequacy with His love, grace, and mercy.

I'm glad to know there are people who understand where I'm coming from. I think what you said is key--it really is about being intentional about connection (which computers and tablets do indeed tend to leech from our time when we are not mindful). Hi Susan. Thank you so much for your email. I know how difficult it can be when you are trying to understand or grow in a relationship with Christ (as I assume from your comment you have given your heart to Him as Savior and Lord) when it's hard to find the discipleship or understanding you need. Let me encourage you to do what you can to study God's word for yourself, seek Him to lead you to a group of Christians who can walk through this with you, and remember if you have given your life to Christ, you have also been given HIS authority. You have nothing to fear. This doesn't mean the journey won't be difficult but you can know God is with you. I'm praying for you.
